St. Paul's Guild
Welcomes all women to come and enjoy their monthly program. Sept 14th is the first meeting of the fall, and it will begin at 10:30 am, complete with Coffee, Juice, and other refreshments.
The women’s guild of our parish is named the Saint Paul’s Guild, harking back to the original name of the parish itself. Currently, there are about fifteen members, and the Guild meets every second Tuesday of the month for lunch, a business meeting, and a planning session. There are no meetings however in July and August.
The Guild is involved in community service projects and social and fundraising events. In recent years, they have sponsored a County-wide Bridge tournament, for instance. They have also made and distributed fleece blankets and Christmas gift boxes. The Guild pays for the gardening and yard upkeep around the parish facility.
The Guild enjoys cordial relations with Episcopal women’s groups throughout the Diocese and especially with those among the various desert churches. In February, the Guild sponsors a corporate celebration of the Eucharist for sister groups in the Valley and near-by communities.
Members also sponsor and plan the main parish event of the year, the annual Fall Festival of Palate and Palette.
